Typically teachers teach to students.
What if faculty taught with students?
Co-create UVa is a collaboration between ReinventED Lab and the Center for Teaching Excellence that aims to promote student-faculty partnerships here on Grounds. The goal is to help transform the way we think about teaching and learning and further enrich UVa’s undergraduate education. Co-create UVa hosts student-faculty workshops, offers paid positions for student consultants to advise faculty on how to improve their teaching, and highlights the best practices of student-faculty partnerships.

In education, one size does not fit all.
What if students were asked to rethink high school?
Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) competed in the $50 million XQ Super School Challenge. To support this ACPS initiative, ReinventED conducted interviews, focus groups, and design thinking workshops with over 200 students in elementary, middle, and high schools across Albemarle County, asking them what they want to see in the future of high school.
Students usually have the least say in what happens in their own school.
What if students were included in the decision making process?
Student Voice is a national, student run nonprofit dedicated to integrating students into conversations about education policy. In the last year, this organization has been developing resources and school partnerships to help students create change and a student voice culture in their local communities. In this program, UVa students with support from Student Voice are helping and working with Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) to develop structures where student voice can flourish and bubble over.
